Thomas M. Farrell, Esq.
I have lived in New York my whole adult life. I’ve been married for over 30 years and have 3
adult daughters. I graduated from Saint John’s University Law School in 1995. Early in my
career, I practiced Corporate and Securities law, including serving as General Counsel to two
NASDAQ-listed companies.
More recently, I was General Counsel to a niche recycler in Eastern Long Island. With the closing of that business, I decided to bring my skills and experience to a solo practice, which is targeted to small- and mid-sized businesses.
Throughout my career, I have also done pro bono work, both for my church and for various small not-for-profits; for most of the past 20 years, I have been on the Board of Directors of one
not-for-profit organization or another.
I am a Business Lawyer with broad and deep expertise in contracts, labor and employment
matters, and regulatory compliance. I have the ability to protect a company’s proprietary
information, manage regulatory matters and maximize employee productivity while ensuring
compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations. In addition, I can build an Intellectual
Property Protection program --Non-Competes, Non-Disclosures, etc.—so that your trade secrets
and confidential information stay yours. I will render my services where the client needs
them—in his or her offices, not mine. The combination of my law-firm training, my in-house
experience, and my acute sensitivity to business issues puts me in a unique position to protect my clients’ interests and contribute to their growth.

Additional Thoughts:
I have been involved with one not-for-profit organization or another for almost my entire career. I believe that, due to our unique position in the legal system, lawyers have a unique obligation to contribute services that benefit the community. I am happy and proud to be doing that now with The Nick Singh Foundation.
