The Barrier That Starts at Their Feet, Shoes for Guatemala

Partnership with Yuntos

In Palencia, Guatemala, poverty isn't an abstract statistic. It's a child showing up to school without shoes.

Over a third of Palencia's population lives in poverty. For the kids there, that means walking on rocky, parasite-laden terrain that leads to infected feet, untreated wounds, and a barrier to the classroom that never should exist in the first place.

That's where you come in.

The Nick Singh Foundation, in partnership with Yuntos, a Long Island nonprofit with deep roots in Palencia, is working to deliver shoes to 1,873 children across 11 schools, from Kindergarten through 6th grade, at a community event with the Mayor. Every pair means a child who can walk without pain, enter a classroom, and simply be a kid.

Your donation will help us with our goal of delivering 1,200 pairs of new sneakers to make sure every child is covered.

There's no minimum. Assistance for Ten pairs matters. Every single one goes directly to a child who needs it. Your donation doesn't just put shoes on feet. It puts kids in school, and reminds a community that the world hasn't forgotten about them.

THE ASK:

If you have a contact with any shoe brand that donates new sneakers directly or to their management team, please reach out to us at thenicksinghfoundation@gmail.com

All donations designated for this project will be applied directly to the Guatemala project. Any remaining funds will be used at the discretion of The Nick Singh Foundation with support going to ongoing projects, operations, and the wider mission.
